IT'S NOT A CRIME - FIN DAC

It was  matter of time before I created a graffiti topic. Maybe because its my favourite art expression or because some people still believe that graffiti art is nothing but ruining walls. There's no need that explain that this kind of graffiti cliches just doesn't work. And there's the proof. I present you Fin DAC.

Fin (Finbarr) is his real name and the DAC stands for Dragon Armoury Creative and is the name of his online portfolio for web and graphics work. He is urban artist from Ireland who now lives and works in UK. Fin is self-taught artist with influences from dark graphic novels to Francis Bacon.
The self taught Fin began painting 7 years ago and is known for his unique and bold Asian inspired murals. Mural is any piece of artwork painted or applied directly on a wall, ceiling or other large permanent surface. A characteristic of mural painting is that the architectural elements of the given space are harmoniously incorporated into the picture.
His career of urban artist is short but leaves deep marks. Fin DAC works are not typical street art. That’s why he prefers to call himself “urban aesthetic”. He has previously been commissioned to The Royal Albert Hall, G-Star, Red Bull and the London 2012 Olympics.
"Some of us are now ‘sub-urban’ artists - we go beyond urban art into who knows what, pushing the accepted boundaries in our own way."
"I am in no position to define what a street artist is… As soon as you define something you limit what it can be. Definitions are for people who have too much time on their hands and not enough freedom in their souls."
