Before I tell you about this pictures let’s clear something. I have deep fear from sharks. Every time I watch them I’m glad it’s on NG channel. So could I be close to one tiger shark for e.g.?
No.
Nope.
Still scary...hey, where is the scuba diver?
There is a method by which sharks can be put in trance. When held in an ‘unnatural’ position, the shark’s brain perceives it as a stressful situation and produces the same hormones that induce tonic immobility. So if you want to try it, dive in water full of sharks, choose one and... still nope.
Photographer Matthew Meier snapped Cristina Zenato balancing a 3-meter Caribbean reef shark vertically by holding its nose on the palm of her hand.
But if you think holding sharks upwards is scary, than you should know there is one woman who not only jumps in dangerous shark waters but also is dancing with them. No trance, no equipment, no oxygen mask and no fear...obviously.
Hannah is watching as one of the tiger sharks surrounds smaller fish in preparation to attack.
Although sharks are carnivorous, they do not preferentially prey on scuba divers, or even humans in general. Sharks do attack humans, but such attacks are extremely rare.
These incredible photos was shot by Emmy award-winning cinematographer Shawn Heinrichs. His investigative footage is used in many campaigns and reach millions of people. The basic of his work is the endangered species. His work is true art.
Here are photos form another Heinrich's project.
The 38-year-old Hannah, who wore only a bikini and body paint and had no diving equipment, had to keep moving to stop the 16-foot-long sea creatures from attacking.
The creators of the project present two videos showing how these incredible shots were taken.
Nope.
